Day of Service

Sunday, May 21, 2017

“Actions speak louder than words” is what we say every Sunday, so Sunday morning, May 21, 2017, will be set aside from 10:00-12:00 for our congregation to provide volunteer service to community groups around Pittsburgh. A kindness challenge! You’ll have lots of choices! Lots of fun, too! Work with your friends and meet new ones. Go out in teams! You’ll have chances to weed gardens, clear paths, plant trees, serve food to the homeless, cuddle cats, read to/sing to/ visit with seniors.

The list goes on and on. Get ready, Kind People of First Unitarian. We will make a difference on May 21.

AND, this is not just a “one-and-done” idea. We hope that you will be excited to work with these groups and volunteer on your own. Oh, one more thing -- for some who wish to remain at the church. No problem. The church will be open for meditation and music, plus, we will have small interesting jobs for you here, too.
