File a Grievance

Members of the Right Relations Team are:

• Rev. David Herndon, ex officio

• Holly McCullough, member-at-large

• Tara Tappen, Board of Trustees member

The Right Relations Policy provides the following guidance with regard to filing a grievance:

Situations Which Do Not Require an Immediate Response. Step One. When disruptive behavior does not require an immediate response, church leaders, or any church member, church friend, child, youth, guest, or church staff member affected by the disruptive behavior, may choose to speak directly to the person responsible for this behavior, requesting that the disruptive behavior cease, while seeking mutual understanding and, if possible, personal reconciliation. However, if an individual believes that it would be dangerous to confront the person responsible for the disruptive behavior, then that individual may proceed directly to Step Two.

Situations Which Do Not Require an Immediate Response. Step Two. When disruptive behavior does not require an immediate response, any church member, church friend, child, youth, guest, or church staff member affected by the disruptive behavior is encouraged to file a grievance with the Right Relations Team. The grievance should include (1) the name and contact information of the person or persons who have been subjected to disruptive behavior; (2) the date of the disruptive behavior; (3) the place or context of the disruptive behavior; (4) identifying information for the person or persons responsible for the disruptive behavior; (5) evidence of the disruptive behavior; and (6) additional comments.

If you would like to file a grievance with the Right Relations Team, please complete and submit this form.  It will be directly transmitted to members of the Right Relations Team via email.
