Church Happenings lets you see church sponsored activities and recent news by our congregation.
Beginning Sunday, October 21 and continuing for the following three Sundays, during Social Hour there will be a display and opportunity to give for the
annual sponsorship of the school in India we have been supporting since 2003. We raised $9600 last year to fully fund the two new teachers needed since
we helped build the new Higher Secondary School. Our first class of 12th graders had a 100% pass rate on their graduation exams. We are making a difference!
Please join in.
Come and join the First Unitarian Habitat Work Party on Saturday, October 27 from 9 AM to 3 PM at 6928 Bennett Street in Homewood. This will be our chance
to work on the four new homes under construction at the Homewood Habitat Build that our congregation financially supported. Sign up soon as this will
be a popular activity. No skills necessary. Email Marty Lieb at email@example.com to reserve a space.
“Tangled country” is how The Honey Dewdrops define their music. With tight harmonies and a musical ensemble that includes clawhammer banjo, mandolin and
guitars, the effect is to leave listeners with only what matters: the heart of the song and clarity over ornamentation. Tickets are available in advance
at Brown Paper Tickets ($15/$10 plus service fee) or at the door the night of show ($20/$15). Visit uusongspace.com for more information!
This is a festive Social Hour celebrating this annual Hindu holiday featuring special decorations, Indian food and music. A slide show about our Khasi
Hills partnership will be featured, and it is the last Sunday for the fall Sponsor-a-Teacher contribution table.
