This project is intended to connect citizens to their local PA State House Representative and other good government constituents in their districts.
We need citizens in each PA state House District who are informed and will advocate for good government/anti-corruption reforms in PA. Voices that can help create a representative democracy with economic, environmental and social justice for all in PA.
We ask you to sign a petition to your PA State House Representative 3 times a year (February, June, and October). The February ’20 petition is representative of those for the following months, but all will have a focus on current legislative efforts to improve our state government.
1. Approach others in your legislative district to sign; if others at 1st Unitarian are collecting signatures in different neighborhoods for the same District/Representative it would be good to collaborate—connect with others in your district to combine efforts.
2. Take the petition(s) with signatures to your PA State House District office and explain what the petition is about. Let them know their constituents support REFORM!
3. If you want to receive a monthly Good Government update, contact firstname.lastname@example.org; he is our UUPLAN Good Government chair who has developed this project – or let me know (rkstudergmail.com) and I will forward it to you.
Can you step up to collect signatures in your district, deliver petitions to your Representative, and encourage them to support critical issues to improve the functioning of our state government? Visit our table on Sunday Feb. 23 to sign and/or agree to volunteer for your district or contact your UUPLAN liaison Becky Studer at 412-225-9946 or email@example.com for more information or to volunteer.
I am collecting signatures for District 34 (Summer Lee, representative); and have started petitions for District #19, 21, 23 ,24, 25. If you are in these districts we need you to take on the task of contacting more constituents and delivering Petitions to Representative (s) Weatley, Innamorota, Frankel, Gainey, Markosek, and others if your district is not listed here.
You can make a difference without going to Harrisburg !
