 s a research biologist with expertise in cell-based assay development and 
 drug discovery.\nNick earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Georgetown Universit
 y and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Virginia. He conducte
 d post-doctoral training at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medic
 al School.\n\nNick's talk will include:\n- a brief intro to what Alzheimer
 's is and what\nThe main players are believed to be in the pathology.\n- t
 he latest on what drugs have been approved and a simple description of how
 \nthey work\, vis-a-vis the main players\, above\, and how well (or how po
 orly) they work with a look at the key data from clinical trials\;\n- a 40
 \,000 ft view of what drugs are in the development pipeline and the broad 
 categories they belong to\;\n- a short touch on what he has worked on\;\n-
  some recent findings of things that we can do to lower our risk of develo
