From Your Art Committee Feb. 2023

Your Art Committee Communications person has been absent for all of January, and for that, I apologize. Hopefully, I will do better reporting for the rest of this year. I have been gone in January and have yet to see the phone photo show in the Undercroft. I hope that many of you have had the chance to view it. I have gotten a couple of reviews, and I am really looking forward to seeing this show. It will stay up for the month of February, so we can still check out the work of so many of our friends. I understand that there are about 80 pieces of work in the show, so to see it all probably takes more than one visit. Don’t miss it.

And coming in March, another show of the work of many of us – work that has not happened yet. Many of us will have the opportunity to build a piece of work – a piece that connects us with our future and with our past. Mary Schinoffen and Alice Carnes are leading a collage workshop Saturday, February 11, and Sunday, February 12, with a focus on building a piece of work that envisions our futures, a piece of work that links to our past as well as considers the world we are building for our children and grandchildren – a word of appreciation for our pasts and love and hope for our futures. The work created in this workshop will hang on the walls of the Undercroft Gallery in March. Our Gallery will provide an opportunity to share our hopes and dreams and our love for each other and our future.

Join us for the workshop led by Mary and Alice in the Undercroft Gallery on Saturday, February 11th, from 1:00 until 4:00, and Sunday, February 12th, from 1:30 until 4:00. Journey inward and create a collage of your vision for the future and then share your creations with others during the art exhibit in March.
All art materials will be supplied. Strictly limited to 34 participants; registration is required. To register, please email Mary Schinhofen: mary@schinhofen.net.

Sincerely Annie Stunden
