The Environmental Justice Action Team is pleased to offer the First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh’s Environmental Justice Action Plan as we turn our shared hope for a better world into tangible action. Based on congregant input, the plan identifies improving air and water quality, reclaiming blighted land, and providing green spaces as our top priorities.
For each Environmental Justice priority, we envision 3 types of action — public advocacy, changing our own behaviors, and forming direct action partnerships with organizations such as Valley Clean Air Now and Black Urban Growers of Pittsburgh.
