From Your Art Committee

New Art Show Begins This Sunday

First, a thank you to Mary Schinoffen and Alice Carnes and all of the artists who developed the beautiful collages that have been hanging in our Undercroft Gallery during the month of March.

And next, we have a group of guest artists who will be showing their work in our gallery during all of April starting this Sunday. Creative Citizens Studio (CCS) uses art to bring people of all abilities together. Artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities have been looking at the regional challenges around Pittsburgh’s Bridges and Transportation. Students have rendered our beloved Bridges in a variety of media as well as a few creative solutions for the future. Many of these works were created on handmade papers as part of the 2022 FiberArts international Artist in Residency program lead by Certified Teaching Artist Katy DeMent with support from the PA Council on the Arts. Please visit the Undercroft and check out the work of these artists. A reception for the artists will be hosted after church services on Sunday, April 16. (www.citizenstudios.org)
