How about an India Adventure Hosted by our Partners?

During his visit, Rev. Nangroi Suting extended an invitation to a special event in India on October 24 of this year. He is hoping our church will be represented at the commemoration of the 50th Death Anniversary of Rev. Annie Margaret Barr, the founder of the school that we sponsor and partner with. He recently offered to personally host 3-4 visitors in the Shillong (state capital) and Kharang (village) homes of he and his wife, Bari Mukhim who is our main school contact.

One First Unitarian Church woman is exploring the possibility of this once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and is interested in another female traveling companion who also would like to stay a bit longer and see some tourist sites. Our partners could accommodate two more, but we are also reaching out to other partners in the US to seek traveling companion(s). The Khasi Hills Partnership Team has a travel agent contact in India used by us and another UU organization. The UUA also has a travel agent contact who could book the transatlantic flight. Our team has a draft document about guidance for pilgrims as representatives of our church and for sharing information with the congregation upon return.
