Our First Unitarian Church Art Committee is back at work and has organized a series of shows for the fall. The first show will be a show of quilts made by the UU Quilters. Expect the Undercroft Gallery to be a very colorful space during September. The show will be ready for viewing after service on Sunday, September 4. Many of the quilts will be for sale, so if there is a quilt you would like to have, you can probably purchase it. Three quilts were made collaboratively by the Quilters, and the total proceeds from those three quilts will go to the church. The quilts will hang through the last Sunday in September. The Quilters also plan a pop-up quilt sale in the yard one Sunday during the month. More information will be coming about the pop-up sale. A Member Art Show will happen in October. You should see a call to artists about this show very soon.
Enjoy the Art!! The Art Committee looks forward to seeing you in the Undercroft after service (or before). There are HEPA filters in the Undercroft, and we are arranging that they are turned on during possible viewing times to have another layer of health safety in place.
