Saving Our Democracy: UUJusticePA Advocacy Day

Do you feel like our democracy is sinking beneath waves of gridlock, injustice, and greed? Sometimes it seems that way. Democracy is not a spectator sport, and now is the time to get involved!

Join us for UUJusticePA Advocacy Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 13, and strengthen your advocacy and organizing skills. The event is free and open to all Unitarian Universalists and our partners.

On the agenda:

  • Experience an interactive Racial Wealth Gap Learning Simulation. Join Florence French Fagan of Bread for the World as she guides us to a better understanding of why racial equity is so important to ending hunger and poverty in the U.S.
  • Justice Teams will meet for lunch in Breakout Rooms
  • Race Class Narrative (HUB for Progress) with Penn Garvin
  • Legislative Panel: Hear directly from state lawmakers; plus, meet UUs running for office
  • Join us as we kick off our annual fundraising campaign, and see the many ways we’re bringing our shared UU values to the world.

Learn how you can be a vital part of saving our democracy!
