We’re excited to share that First Unitarian Church is formally launching a Planned Giving Program to help members create a lasting legacy of support for our mission. Including our church in your will or estate plans is one of the most meaningful ways to ensure our values continue to thrive for future generations.
Planned gifts are simple to set up and can be tailored to your circumstances.
Many people choose to name the church in their will or trust, designating either a specific amount or a percentage of their estate. Gifts can be made in cash or through non-cash assets. While unrestricted gifts give the church the greatest flexibility to meet future needs, restricted gifts for specific purposes are also possible with advanced conversation.
More information about planned giving can be found online: https://www.first-unitarian-pgh.org/leave-a-lasting-legacy-at-first-unitarian/
In addition, we want your ideas to help name our Planned Giving Society, which will be created to recognize those who include our church in their estate plans.
Name ideas could be based on tradition and history, have a whimsical flair, be rooted in UU values, or be inspired by Pittsburgh’s character!
Please email your ideas to stewardship@first-unitarian-pgh.org by February 28. After service on March 8 people will have a chance to vote on their favorite.
