Envisioning Our Future

Envisioning our future can be a frightening experience in these days of uncertainty and chaos.  Where to begin? To help focus our thoughts and energies, First Church is offering a free Collage Workshop designed to explore our values and deepen our commitment to the future.

As Tiya Miles writes in her book, All That She Carried,

. . . nothing is preserved, and no child or grandchild saved without brash acts of love and wild visions of continuance.  We are the ancestors of our descendants. They are the generations we’ve made.  With a “radical hope” for their survival, what will we envision for them?”

Join us for this event, led by Alice Carnes and Mary Schinhofen, in the Undercroft Gallery on Saturday, February 11th, from 1:00 until 4:00, and Sunday, February 12th, from 1:30 until 4:00.  Journey inward and create a collage of your vision for the future and then share your creations with others during the First Church art exhibit in March.

All art materials will be supplied.  Strictly limited to 34 participants; registration required.  To register, please email Mary Schinhofen:  mary@schinhofen,net.
