Crossing Appalachia is a collection of original songs by Gary Crouth, who is the long-time MC of the First Unitarian Church SongSpace concert series. It is a musical portrait deeply rooted in place, telling stories of human endeavor, perseverance, struggle, and hope. Admission is by free-will donation, with 100% of proceeds going to Hope in the Mountains, a nonprofit bringing hope and positive change to southern West Virginia communities. The evening will also feature Appalachian music and dance and a slideshow of scenes and people from southern West Virginia. More information: Gary Crouth, 412.376.5739, HappySunRecords@gmail.com
