“Jess Klein’s music is one part grassroots social activism and two parts alt-country guitar rock” — The Bluegrass Situation.

Over two decades and 11 albums, Jess Klein (https://jessklein.com/) has pursued a remarkable creative evolution that’s seen her dig ever deeper for resonant emotional insights, while continuing to refine her eloquently melodic, effortlessly accessible song-craft. Her live shows explore the musical offerings of many styles – from rock n roll to folk to classic jazz standards. She shares songs of personal healing, growth and change with her audience, always leaving them moved, uplifted, and empowered. The New York Times calls her “a songwriter with a voice of unblinking tenacity” that Mojo Magazine calls “one of those voices you want to crawl up close to the speakers to listen to”.

Her latest album, When We Rise, will be released in September 2023. The first single, Never Gonna Break Me, premiered on Pittsburgh’s own Whiskey Before Breakfast radio show on WRCT 88.3 FM, and will be officially released on May 19!

Brad Yoder (https://bradyoder.com/) will be opening for Jess. Acknowledged by Pittsburgh Magazine as “ruling the Pittsburgh coffeehouse scene,” Brad logs over 150 performances annually, playing colleges, cafés, churches, festivals, First Nights, and even the zoo. Brad has opened for a diverse range of artists, including Erin McKeown, Tegan & Sara, the Cowboy Junkies, Lucy Kaplansky, Carrie Newcomer, the Vigilantes of Love, Emmylou Harris, Robyn Hitchcock, Ellis Paul, and Rob Dickinson of Catherine Wheel, plus played the second stage for David Gray, Peter Paul & Mary, and Steve Earle/Jackson Browne. Along the way, Brad has sold over 7,000 copies of five self-released CDs. And Brad was just selected as a 2023 New Folk Finalist for the reknowned Kerrville Folk Festival!
