DID YOU KNOW that First Unitarian has a medical equipment loan program for medical assistive items? If you, a friend, or family member has a short-term need for crutches, a wheelchair, a walker, or other assistive items, please send an email to medicalequipment@first-unitarian-pgh.org.
The medical equipment loan program provides temporary access to items like wheelchairs, walkers, hospital beds, shower chairs, blood pressure monitors, and other assistive devices — usually at low or no cost. These programs are often run by churches, nonprofits, community centers, or healthcare organizations. Medical equipment can be expensive — a wheelchair can cost $300–$1,000. Loan programs let people borrow what they need without taking on debt.
