Now Hiring: Young Adult and Campus Ministry Coordinator

The Young Adults & Campus Ministry Coordinator maintains connections with and organizes activities for young adults who attend the church under the supervision of the Lifespan Religious Education Director. The YACM Coordinator is responsible for planning weekly, monthly, and special events for young adults (18 – 35) and local college students. They also maintain a presence on the local campuses to promote the visibility of the First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh during beginning-of-semester and new student events. 

This position has room for creativity and flexibility for the right candidate. The person in this position serves young adults who may be looking for a house of worship or faith community that emphasizes inclusivity, self-determination, compassion for others, justice, and the personal search for meaning and beliefs or who have attended a Unitarian Universalist congregation as a youth. 

This position is hourly and part time and pays $15/hour. Applicants must be at least 25 years of age and be able to pass a background check. Experience with youth ministry, teaching, coaching, and event organizing is a plus. The right candidate will find their own values reflected in Unitarian Universalism and be committed to the mission of the overall church as a staff member. A profession of Unitarian Universalist belief or membership is not necessary.
