Our Share the Plate recipient for July is Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania’s (PPWP) mission is to provide high-quality reproductive health care services, sexuality education, and strategic advocacy. We believe in the fundamental right of individuals to manage their fertility and their sexual and reproductive health without regard to income, marital status, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, national origin, or residence. PPWP believes that sexual and reproductive self-determination must be voluntary and preserve the individual’s right to privacy. We believe that respect and value for diversity in all aspects of our organization are essential to our well-being and that of our clients.

Our organization operates seven health centers with our largest center located in downtown Pittsburgh. Every day, patients look to us to provide high-quality, non-judgmental, and accessible health care services, including: STI testing & treatment, birth control, emergency contraception, life-saving cancer screenings, PrEP, gender-affirming hormone therapy, pregnancy testing, gynecological care, family planning, abortion care, and much more!

PPWP is committed to upholding our promise: “Care, No Matter What”. Each year, PPWP serves more than 9,000 people throughout Allegheny, Cambria, Westmoreland, and Somerset Counties. Our core work includes a wide range of programs and services to help meet the need for sexual and reproductive health in our region. We remain vigilant in providing high-quality, inclusive sexual and reproductive health care through Patient Services, Education, and Advocacy programs now and in the future.
