VIM is a committee of your Board of Trustees charged with regularly taking the pulse of the
congregation, discerning needs and aspirations, to inform the annually updated Strategic
Plan which guides the life of our church community.
VIM discernment is based on an appreciative inquiry process carried out in small group or “cottage” meetings, wherein members and friends share their thoughts and ideas and listen to the thoughts and ideas of fellow congregants.
In January and February of this year, 80 members, friends and staff of our church participated in the process.
Listen to a 5-minute podcast summarizing the thoughts and dreams of our congregation:
These findings will be used to develop our new Strategic Plan priorities, to be shared with you in September.
Note that this podcast was generated using AI. The content comes directly from the thoughts and ideas expressed by members and friends of the First Unitarian Church of Pittsburgh.
Special thanks to Board President Jim Pashek for making this podcast possible.
