On Sunday, October 12, we will run a fire drill at the end of worship. Everyone in the building will be asked to exit the building and move to our gathering location in the gym of Winchester Thurston, the school across Elsworth Avenue. The alarm will be pulled, but we will notify our alarm company and fire/police departments.
Designated volunteers wearing bright yellow vests will guide people across the Elsworth Avenue cross walk closer to Shadyside Lane and Winchester’s parking lot. We will proceed into the parking lot to the Gym exterior door. Once we have the “all clear” we will return to our building and celebrate Jim Reitz’s 90th birthday!
Note: The elevator will be in service for the drill to reduce risk of injuries. In a real emergency the elevator will not be in service requiring us to rely on Fire Department and volunteers to help evacuate those needing extra assistance.
