Adrianne Daner Guest Artist in the Undercroft Gallery

During March, enjoy the art of Adrienne Daner in the Undercroft Gallery. Adrienne’s abstract works explore geometric lines and shapes as well as curvy organic ones. Her palette varies from black and white with accents of primary colors to earthy and bright.

Adrienne Daner has a BFA in Art from Syracuse University and a Master’s Degree in Art from New York University. She explained she enrolled as an undergrad to become a social worker, but her freshman roommate was an art major having a lot more fun, so she switched majors, and the result is a long career in the arts.

She taught art in the Washington D.C. public school system and, since moving to Pittsburgh, at the Frick Art Museum and the Kentucky Avenue School. Since retiring from teaching, she has concentrated on her artwork. Adrienne has previously had a solo exhibit and participated in group shows. She has a studio in the Ice House in Lawrenceville.
