Connect in Community – Sign Up for a Winter 2026 Cottage Meeting!
You are cordially invited to join a 1-hour cottage meeting this winter to connect with other members and friends, to get to know each other beyond the casual greetings we may extend to one another on Sundays.
A cottage meeting is a one-time, small group, facilitated listening circle wherein participants share their experiences, dreams and ideas for the church community in response to a few provided discussion questions. The First Unitarian Church Vision-Identity-Mission (VIM) Team hosts these gatherings annually, and participants find them to be an extraordinarily valuable opportunity to connect in community.

The sessions this year focus on the idea of a behavioral covenant for our congregation, why it is important and what should go into it. Covenants, key to life in an intentional community, describe behaviors for how we will be with each other. We of course cannot change the personalities of individuals, but we can help one another to be faithful, to seek to create environments in which the possibilities of reconciliation are increased. The discussion questions are provided in advance to registered participants.
We hope you can join us!
