Singing Memory: A Black August Reflection

Livestreamed at 10:30 am In the tradition of Black August — a month honoring resistance, remembrance, and those who came before — Dr. Zuly Inirio shares a reflection on singing Palo, a sacred Afro-Dominican music tradition. A meditation on cultural memory, lineage, and what it means to carry your ancestors into rooms never built to hold them.

 This August, we will share the plate with UUJustice PA . The Vision of UUJustice PA is: Pennsylvania UUs are aware of justice issues and are called to speak and take action that leads to a better Commonwealth. The Mission Statement is: Pursue justice by voting, advocating, and making just public policies. It is one of 28 state-based UU advocacy groups working to uphold our UU values in our state governments.
